Kansas Medical Assistance Programs - Adults per 1000 Population, 20-64 Age-Group

Select a Public Health Preparedness Region
Measurement Period: 2022
This indicator shows the enrollment rate in all Kansas Medical Assistance Programs (Medicaid, CHIP, and Non-Medical) based on a distinct count of members that were enrolled for the year.

Why is this important?

Medicaid is a state-federal financed program to provide health care to uninsured, financially eligible low-income children, elderly, disabled and families. The rate reflects the lack of health insurance and where the need for community health improvement activities is higher. Counts represent persons in all Kansas Medical Assistance Programs - Medicaid (KanCare), CHIP and all other populations such as MediKan, TB, AIDS drug assistance, Refugee, SOBRA, etc.
